Clara Brugada, Mexico City Mayor, confirmed that all injured had been transported to local hospitals for care. The gas tanker displayed the logo of energy company Silza; however, an official from that entity denied ownership by noting that Silza operates only in northern Mexico. Silza has yet to issue a formal statement regarding this incident.
