Islamabad, April 30, 2025 — Indian Air Force (IAF) fighter jets reportedly conducted aggressive low-altitude patrols over the illegally Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) region on Tuesday morning but swiftly retreated after coming close to the Line of Control (LoC), according to military sources cited by the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP).
The provocative maneuver comes amid heightened tensions between Pakistan and India, following Islamabad’s claim that it has received credible intelligence of an imminent Indian strike. The Pakistan Armed Forces remain on high alert, and surveillance across the LoC has been intensified.
According to APP, the IAF jets were detected by Pakistan’s advanced radar systems as they conducted a brief patrol near key sectors along the LoC. The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) reportedly scrambled its own fighter aircraft in response, prompting the Indian jets to alter course and return to their airbase without engaging.

The Pakistani military’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has not released a formal statement regarding the incident, but security officials have emphasized that Pakistan’s air defense and strike capabilities remain fully operational and vigilant.
APP reports that diplomatic channels have been activated, with Pakistan informing international stakeholders, including the United Nations, about the latest developments and urging restraint from the Indian side.
